What are planetary hours?
A planetary hour is a traditional division of the day into twelve daylight hours (from sunrise to sunset) and twelve night hours (from sunset to the next sunrise). Each hour is ruled by one of the seven classical planets — Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, the Sun, Venus, Mercury, and the Moon — in the Chaldean order. The first daylight hour belongs to the planet that rules the day of the week.
Planetary hours are a traditional system with ancient astrological and religious roots. They are not a scientific method of timekeeping.
